Fine Time Fontayne (also variously spelled Finetime Fontayne, Fine Time Fontaine and Finetime Fontaine) is an English character actor and stage director, including a successful production of Sleeping Beauty at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester, Essex, UK, in December 2007 and January 2008.[1]
Fontayne has played a variety of roles in British TV series such as All Creatures Great and Small and Emmerdale, is a frequent voice in BBC Radio drama (including The Blackburn Files) as well as a stage actor and director, and has appeared in films including Butterfly Kiss.[2]
During 2011 he played the role of Claudius in the touring Northern Broadsides production of Hamlet. He also appears in the 2002 radio series "The Little World of Don Camillo"

Fontayne's birth name is Ian Crossley. He was born at Wombwell, South Yorkshire in 1951. He took the stage name Fine Time Fontayne when he began singing and playing at a local folk club in South Yorkshire, early in his career.
